Refund policy

Effective date: 2 November 2026

This policy covers OpenRAR for Mac Business licences bought from Yando Pte. Ltd. It is part of our Terms of Sale.

30 days, no questions asked

If the OpenRAR Business licence isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 30 days of your purchase, for any reason.

How to ask. Write to support@openrar.app from the email address used for the order, or include that address and the licensee name in your message. You don’t need to explain why.

What you get back. We refund the full amount you paid, to your original payment method. Refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Differences caused by currency conversion are outside our control.

What happens to the licence

A full refund ends the Business licence:

• its key can no longer be activated;
• Macs where it is activated remove it the next time they check with our server. They check about once a month, when online.

OpenRAR itself keeps working, with the reminder at launch. Personal use stays free. Commercial use needs a new licence.

Too many seats?

If you bought more seats than you need, write to us within 30 days of your purchase. We lower the number of seats on your key by hand and refund the difference. The new price is calculated at the tier that applies to the seats you keep (see the prices in the Terms of Sale). For example, if you bought 10 seats for €100 and keep 5, the 5 seats cost 5 × €12 = €60, and we refund €40. Your licence and its key stay valid for the seats you keep.

After 30 days

After 30 days, purchases are final, with these exceptions:

• Duplicate orders. If you were charged twice for the same thing by mistake, we refund the duplicate at any time.
• A licence that doesn’t work. If a licence doesn’t work as described and we can’t fix it, we refund it.
• Your legal rights. If the law gives you a right to a refund, we honour it.

Orders on quote (1,000 seats or more)

The same 30-day policy applies, unless your quote says otherwise.

Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK

If you are a consumer, you also have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days (see the Terms of Sale, section 12). Our 30-day policy covers and exceeds it. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.

Payment disputes

Please write to us before disputing a payment with your bank: a refund is faster for you. A payment dispute suspends the licence until it is resolved. If the payment is returned to you, the licence ends, as with a full refund.
